1. The death of mrs westaway - Ruthware


If you are looking for a mystery thriller that just screams an aesthetic Lana del ray mystery kind of vibe ,then “the death of Mrs westaway”is the right book . From the start to end there is chain of twists and it’s a fast paced book at beginning but goes a little slow. The story goes on about Harriet westaway, a seaside fortune teller who receives a letter saying she’s received inheritance form her grandmother who died even though her grandparents died long ago ( according to her mother ) . She’s in desperate need of money so she goes to her “grandmother’s “ house to inherit the money and meets her other relatives. It’s very gripping and has emotional twists and it has a good ending ( according to me). The characters and their relations all together is kind of messy and Harriet’s discovery about each character’s relationship with her is interesting(this is tip to the twist at the end).this is a binge reading book for sure.



2. The girl on the train - Paula Hawkins

If you’re looking for a mystery thriller with crime attached to it then “the girl on the train” fits the mold. Rachel is a divorced women who catches the same train which passes on the route where her ex- husband lives . She also watches a house there everyday and sees through the life of a couple there and find them perfect until one day day she sees something shocking about the couple and later gets involved with a murder . I love this story because it had a desirable ending and a shocking twist full of betrayal . You may find this story a little twisted and once again it’s full of relations and betrayal that runs through them.the crime part of it is amazing as well. I’m not sure if you call this a psychological thriller but I felt there was a bit of psychology in it. This is a slow paced book in my opinion.this is also adapted as a movie and is very famous.



3. Murder on the orient express - agatha Christie
 This Agatha Christie ‘s book is about a murder on  orient express( a train) is just the best beginner book for mystery lovers and has an old English writing that makes it better.anyone who wants a detective book which resembles Sherlock homes and also has a bit of mystery surrounding the characters should read this book.again like the first two books the characters have a twist.the story is about a murder that takes place on the orient express with a detective on board and a bunch of suspects each with a back story(this is a tip). I have nothing more to say about this book but it’s amazing and even though it’s a crime book I felt it should in the mystery section so here we are.









4. luckiest girl alive - Jessica knoll
This book screams “ young adult” story to me but this just my opinion. Ani FaNelli is a young women who’s also a people pleaser seems to have everything she needs . But behind her perfect life there was a dark past which haunts her.when a documentary producer invites her to tell her side of the story she feels like this is the chance to prove herself but but her fiancé is against it.this story has past and present going on and on and I personally felt sad for her for being a very bad people pleaser.this story is for the ones who want to know what’s behind a so called “perfect life” and how school fame is completely useless.









5. Gone girl - Gillian flynn
This Gillian Flynn book is my favourite out of his other books and it’s also adapted a movie which is equally good as well.Nick dunne is a husband who’s wife Amy goes missing  and he is the main suspect because of various reasons.Nick owns a bar funded by his wife Amy who’s rich and well established.Is Nick attached to his wife’s disappearance or is Amy as good as she seems.i kind of did not like the ending but it was a logical ending so it was ok.this story just explains how sometimes things are not what it seems and judging by just looking is not very nice.this is a definitely a binge read which is absolutely crime and mystery to me.
